Sportswear and sporting equipment retailer Decathlon has opened a new store in the city of Chennai. Located in Nexus Vijaya Mall, the store measures 1,200 square feet and is the brand’s eighth store in the state of Tamil Nadu.

The store retails apparel, accessories, footwear, and sports goods such as footballs and tennis balls. Self-check outs and digital screens are among the technology used in-store and price conscious shoppers will see large signs above aisles highlighting low priced items. 

The store caters to sports including running, swimming, racket sports, target sports, outdoor sports, and cardio among others. Decathlon joins brands including Max Fashion, FabIndia, Lifestyle, Celio, Biba, Jack & Jones, and Allen Solley in the mall.
 
Decathlon recently opened a large-scale store in Chennai at Marina Mall in Egattur. The French business is rapidly expanding its brick-and-mortar footprint across India and also opened a store in Bengaluru this season.
