Comfort-driven footwear brand Crocs has crossed the 200 store mark in India as its India retail partner Metro Brands Limited inaugurated a new brick-and-mortar store in Chennai, located in the city’s bustling Pondy Bazaar.
“The launch of our 200th Crocs store in India is a testament to the dedication of our team and our enduring partnership with Crocs,” said Metro Brands Limited’s business head for Crocs Maulik Desai in a statement, India Retailing reported. “We are committed to offering a global retail experience that appeals to youth and customers seeking comfort.”
Crocs first partnered with Metro Brands Limited in 2008 to retail its footwear in India through multi-brand outlet stores. The business opened its first exclusive brand outlet for Crocs under the partnership in 2015 in the northern city of Lucknow.
“We are delighted to celebrate the momentous achievement of inaugurating Metro Brand’s 200th Crocs store in India made possible through our esteemed collaboration,” said Crocs’ India and South East Asia general manager and vice president Sumit Dhingra. “This marks a significant milestone in our ongoing partnership with Metro Brands Limited, the biggest partner for Crocs India for operating exclusive stores.”
