The International Hockey Federation (FIH), the organization governing hockey in the world, is in favor of betting in its game. The Federation has canceled the decision of its company, in which it had signed a 4-year deal with a Swedish betting company.

The federation defended its decision on Sunday, saying that fund holding is a means for the sale of sports betting.

A top official said during the women’s Olympic qualifiers in Ranchi- ‘I have been contracted with a legal betting company. This happens in a completely controlled manner. An integrity code has been created to ensure that betting does not bring corruption into the game.
