Apparel brand Intune has opened its first all women-run store in Pune at Terminal 1, Phase 1 Hinjewadi. The outlet is Intune’s sixth to date in India and is designed to promote a more inclusive retail market and uplift its women staff. 

“We’re breaking barriers in the retail industry with our all-women-run store,” said Intune’s official spokesperson in a press release. “The ‘Intune’ store in Pune exemplifies our commitment to innovation and inclusivity. We want to provide an environment in which women can thrive and contribute to the success of our company. By empowering women in our staff, we are taking an important step towards creating a more inclusive and varied retail market.”
 
The store’s staff, from the store manager to customer care executives who help consumers make informed buying decisions, are all women. As well as challenging gender preconceptions, the store’s staff will give a fresh perspective to the retail landscape, according to Intune. 

Intune is positioned in the value segment of the apparel market and caters to men and women from a range of age groups. The brand specialises in trend-driven western wear for a mass audience. All products in Intune’s new Pune store are priced under Rs 999.
