The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council’s Indi Pavilion at Jewellery Arabia 2023 in Bahrain brought 49 Indian businesses, spread across over 90 booths, to showcase their latest designs to global buyers.
“The India Pavilion, organised by GJEPC, is making waves at the Middle East’s renowned jewellery and watch event,” announced the GJEPC on Facebook. “It marks the 20th year of our participation in Jewellery Arabia, scheduled from 14th to 18th November 2023.”
The trade show launched at Exhibition World Bahrain and was inaugurated on November 15 by Bahrain’s crown prince and prime minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, accompanied by the Embassy of India in Bahrain’s second secretary Ravi Kumar Jain. The event is running concurrently with perfume trade show Scent Arabia 2023.
The India Pavilion is designed to showcase Indian jewellery craftsmanship to a global audience, the GJEPC announced on its website. The pavilion is also designed to contribute to strengthening trade ties between India and Bahrain.
At the event’s inauguration on Wednesday, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa remarked upon the diversity of the Indian jewellery products on display, the GJEPC reported. India’s ambassador to Bahrain Vinod Kumar Jacob has also been invited to the exhibition.
