(16/11/23) Madhya Pradesh is known as the Tiger State
because it is home to the largest number of tigers in India, and
has six different reserves all dedicated to preserving the habitat
and safeguarding the hundreds (approximately 785) of Bengal tigers
found there.

As such, it will come as no surprise that safaris
and wildlife tourism are key components of the Government of
Madhya Pradesh’s tourism marketing plans.
Madhya Pradesh also has an abundance of
historical, cultural and religious sites that attract tourists
from all over the world.

of Travel News Asia sat down with Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary Culture & Tourism,
Government of Madhya Pradesh, India, whilst he was at the World Travel Market (WTM)
in London.
