Swiss luxury watch manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen has opened its first ever brick-and-mortar store in India in Mumbai. Located on the upper ground floor of the Jio World Plaza, the store launched with the brand’s long-standing India partner Art of Time.
“The Indian luxury connoisseur has a deep understanding and appreciation for Swiss watchmaking, innovation, an eye for detail and a growing appetite for exclusive experiences,” said IWC Schaffhausen’s managing director for the Middle East, India, and Africa Mehdi Rajan in a press release. “The opening of the first boutique in the country in partnership with Art of Time is an excellent platform to bring the IWC Schaffhausen craftsmanship and timeless design to the heart of Mumbai. Customers will have access to exclusive collections and will be able to fully immerse in the world of watchmaking in a luxurious environment.”
The exclusive brand outlet houses the label’s signature watch collections as well as boutique exclusive editions such as the Portugieser Perpetual Calendar and the Portugieser Chronograph. The 40 square metre shop is designed to give IWC Schaffhausen a presence in “the financial capital of India” and enable it to connect with shoppers in person.
“We have enjoyed a long-standing relationship with IWC Schaffhausen, and the opening of this new boutique further strengthens our association. Jio World Plaza is the city’s ultimate luxury destination, and we are delighted to bring the discerning customer an elevated shopping experience as they discover the world of IWC Schaffhausen,” said Art of Time’s directors Gaurav Bhatia and Bharat Kapoor.
