GUWAHATI: Tata Electronics has submitted a proposal to the Centre for setting up a semiconductor processing plant in Assam with an investment of Rs 40,000 crore, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Friday. Sarma added that the Tata Electronics has submitted the proposal for setting up a semi-conductor plant at Jagiroad for assembly and packaging.
