Designer Vikram Phadnis showcased his latest women’s traditional and fusion wear designs on the runway in Mumbai. The fashion show took place as part of business-to-business cosmetics and beauty fair Cosmoprof India 2023. 

Vikram Phadnis presented a mainly monochrome womenswear collection with a mix of occasion wear and smart casual designs. Lehengas featured large, bold floral designs and structured jackets, gowns, and skirts were adorned with glittering beads to add glamour and movement. 
 
Notable looks from the show included an off-white gown with a long, beaded cape and a glittering black tunic paired with black suit trousers. Models wore soft glam makeup and had their hair tied back for a modern take on formal attire. The show featured 29 looks with several pieces from Phadnis’ latest bridal wear collection ‘Nazakat’. 

The event also featured an awards ceremony for the beauty trade show. “Cheers to the winners of the most glamorous awards of the cosmetics industry,” announced Cosmoprof India on Facebook. “Last night, during an unforgettable gala, companies that will make history were finally announced!” 
 
The award ceremony took place in partnership with platinum sponsor the Italian Trade Agency and runway sponsor Beauty Garage. The event took place at Mumbai’s Sofitel Mumbai in Bandra Kurla Complex, The New Indian Express reported.
