Shree Ramkrishna Exports receives environmental awards at Vadodara ceremony

Diamond business Shree Ramkrishna Exports received ‘Green Innovations’ and ‘ESG Impact’ awards at the National Summit on Environmental, Social, and Governance 2023. The award ceremony took place in Vadodara and recognised the Surat-based business for its eco-friendly initiatives.

Shree Ramkrishna Exports’ Green Innovations awards recognised its environmentally sustainable business practices at its flagship diamond crafting facilities and beyond, the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council announced on its website. The ESG Impact award noted the business’ positive impact on governance initiatives. The event was hosted by the Sigma University of Vadodara and the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers and the theme for the event was ‘Building a Sustainable Future Together – ESG Solutions for a Resilient World’.
 
Shree Ramkrishna Exports’ chief human capital officer Nirav Mandir was also recently appointed by the Responsible Jewellery Council to co-chair its Sustainable Development Goals task force. The appointment affirms the position of Shree Ramkrishna Exports as an environmental leader. 

“We’re excited to announce that Dr Nirav Mandir, chief human capital officer at Shree Ramkrishna Exports Private Limited (SRK), has been elected as co-chair of our SDG Taskforce,” announced the Responsible Jewellery Council on Facebook. “The SDG Taskforce is an action platform to coordinate the efforts of the industry to advance the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The working group consists of 20 organisations from across the jewellery and watch supply chain. It is chaired by Feriel Zerouki (De Beers Group) and Dr. Nirav Mandir (SRK).”
