Father-in-law died on the first day of the first warehouse test
Balluma was bowled by Samaya Siddiqui before bowling the ball at long-off in the 20th over on the first day of the Centuria Test match. He then immediately left the field and sent him for a scan, which revealed Cassil.
Temba Bouluma got injured on the very first day of the test. He did not take the field again in the entire match.
Head coach gave statement
The team’s head coach Shukri Konrad said after the match that Baluma’s physical condition was not very good. She was ready to float for the team at every turn. We were keeping an eye on his injury. Looking at his situation, we felt that if he was sent for non-qualification, his injury could be more serious.
If we had lost wickets early, perhaps he would have been sent for unceremoniously. Being ahead by 150 runs, I felt it was not necessary to risk them.
Heavy fed South Africa even with 10 players
South Africa’s team of 10 players overpowered India’s 11 players. Team captain Temba Bavuma got injured while fielding in the 20th over of the first innings. He could not come on the field again and play the match. The team also scored 408 runs in the first innings at the loss of 9 wickets. Babuma did not come to bat due to injury.
Not only this, the first innings of South Africa’s 10 batsmen was also heavier than the two innings of 11-11 players of Team India. Because South Africa scored 408 runs in one innings, the players of Team India could not even cross it in the 2nd innings. The team could score only 245 runs in the first innings and 131 runs in the second innings.
