The mini auction for IPL 2024 was held on December 19 last year.
The mini auction for the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) garnered 2.28 crore (22.8 million) viewership. Which is 57 percent more than last year. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) advisor Jai Shah gave this information on social media on Sunday.
The mini auction for IPL 2024 was held on December 19 last year at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai. This auction lasted for about 6 hours. The auction was telecast live by IPL’s TV broadcast company Star Sports on 5 Sagar.

Kam Pattins and Mitchell Starc’s bid was most viewed
One of the most viewed moments was Australian actors Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc’s bid for the release of IPL 2024. Pat Cummins was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 20.50 crore. Initially a bidding war started between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians for the base property of Rs 2 crore.
Bidding of Rs 5 crore started in Mumbai. After that there was a bidding war between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai. Chennai bid up to Rs 10 crore. Bengaluru took a bid of Rs 20.25 crore, finally Bengaluru bought him for Rs 20.50 crore.
Starc performed brilliantly in Kolkata-Gujarat
Whereas, initial bids were seen from Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals for Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc. So far Delhi has bid Rs 9.60 crore and Mumbai has bid up to Rs 10 crore. From here there was a bidding war between Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders. In the final, Kolkata Knight Riders bought him for Rs 24.75 crore.
