India-A team has released the squad for the 4-match series against England Lance. Rajasthan’s Manav Suthar and Delhi’s Pulkit Narang have been included in the lead spinner team.

Abhimanyu Easwaran will lead India A in the first two matches of the England tour later this month. The five-Test series between India and England will begin with two warm-up games on January 12-13.

After this, England Lions (England A) will also play a three-Test series against India A. All the electronics in the series will be in telecom only.

Sai Sudarshan can do business with Abhimanyu
Abhimanyu was the reserve opener during the recent two Tests in South Africa, and is a strong contender for a similar role in the home Tests. B Sai Sudarshan can enter the team as Abhimanyu’s Madrid. Sudarshan had recently scored two wickets against South Africa.

Sarfaraz has a chance in the middle order
Silver Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Rajan Paul will join India A. Patidar recently started the Martin Series against South Africa in the 2022-23 Ranji season, which is in Paul’s name. Reserve portfolio KAC India will also be a part of the team on South Africa tour. Whereas, Dhruv Jurel will join the team as the second choice.

Sarfaraz Khan has scored 3691 runs in 42 first class matches which include 13 centuries.

Suthar’s first chance
Rajasthan’s Manav Suthar has got an opportunity for the first time in India in the spin department. Left-arm spinner Suthar made a good comeback in the last Ranji season by taking 39 wickets and then impressed in the Emerging Asia Cup in Sri Lanka in July. Whereas Delhi’s Pulkit Narang is the other spin option.

Sunny becomes lead in fast-paced
Navdeep Pandey will lead the fast bowling department, along with him will be Karnataka’s Vidavatha Kavarappa. Kawarappa put in a strong performance in the South Zone for the season-opening Duleep Trophy. Apart from these, Tushar Deshpande and Akash Deep will also join the team.
