Sri Lanka defeated Zimbabwe by 2 wickets in a thrilling match. After losing 4 wickets for 53 runs, the team lost 8 wickets for 172 runs. The team needed 37 runs. Here Talenders posted 39 runs not out for the 9th wicket and gave victory to Sri Lanka.

Zenithanage, playing only his second match for Sri Lanka, was the player of the match. He scored 95 runs on 127 balls. With the win in the second match, Sri Lanka has taken a 1-0 lead in the series. Zimbabwe had a bad start, lost a wicket in the first over.
