India defeated Afghanistan by 6 wickets in the first T20. On Thursday in Mohali, India played task knife before the bowling choice. Afghanistan scored 158 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Team India achieved the feat in 17.3 overs by losing 4 wickets.

4. Rohit gave life to Umraji
Indian captain Rohit Sharma missed the catch of Ajamtoday Omerjee. Shivam Kisan Bhai came in the 12th over of Afghanistan’s innings. Omraj played the ball of the third over over cover. Rohit was fielding there. The ball went through his top skirt and touched the volleyball. Rohit could not judge the catch and the catch was given a waiver.
Rohit Sharma gave life to Omrajai on a personal score of 10 runs.
5. Rohit was run out due to confusion
Captain Rohit Sharma was run out on the very second ball of the Indian innings. Rohit drove towards mid-off on the ball of Fazalhaq Farooqui and ran to take a single. Friend Shubhman Gill looked back to see that the fielder had taken grip of the ball and hence refused to take the run.
