The first two matches of England’s 5-match series have been launched for the Indian team. BCCI released the team late on Friday night.

Dhruv Jurel and fast bowler Avesh Khan have been given a chance as engineers. Whereas the location of Mohammed Shami has not been disclosed.

This series, starting from January 25, is aimed at the World Test Championship-2023-25. The Indian team is playing its first home series in this season. Earlier, Team India defeated West Indies 1-0 at the same home, while the two-match series against South Africa ended 1-1.

Resident played the first match
The first match of the series will be played against Resident on 25 January. After that, the second test will be played in Visakhapatnam from 2nd February, the third test will be played in Rajkot from 15th February, the fourth test will be played in Ranchi from 23rd February and the 5th test will be played in Dharamshala from 7th March.

India’s challenge against England’s WTC. There will be a collectorate clash in the 5 match series. The last Test series between India and England took place in England during August 2021. The 5 test series was tied 2-2. At the same time, the last series of both in India was held in February 2021, India won this 4-Test series 3-1.
