Kane Williamson did not play the bachelor match of the T20 series against Pakistan due to a hamstring strain.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson has been ruled out of the T20 series against Pakistan. Williamson’s hamstring injury came to light while batting in the second T20. After which he was returned to USM Heart Stranger.

Will Young was included in the squad in place of Williamson, while Tim Seifert will play in place of Kane in the playing-11. There are 3 matches left in the T-20 series between New Zealand and Pakistan, during which Tim Southee can take charge of New Zealand.

Minor strain revealed in scan report
The second T20 match of the series between New Zealand and Pakistan was played on 14 January in Hamilton. Batting first, New Zealand scored 111 runs at the loss of one wicket in 10 overs. Williamson was batting after scoring 26 runs in 15 balls. He felt a strain in his hamstring during the Tab drinks break, Williamson recalled Barack Obama and did not come to bat.

After the end of the Kiwi team’s innings, Williamson went to the scan hospital. His report revealed that he had a minor hamstring injury. Williamson suffered a hamstring injury in the match against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2023.

Kane Williamson scored 26 runs in the second T20 against Pakistan. After this he returned to Laboratory Heart Theatre.

May be out of test series against South Africa
Last year, Williamson could not play the entire IPL due to hamstring injury. She was also ruled out of key matches in the final World Cup. Williamson again got injured in the same hamstring and now whenever he came out, it could not be clear. After Pakistan, New Zealand also has to play a T20 series against Australia in the final in February.

The last match of the Test series against Pakistan will be played on 21 January. After this, the team will also play a Test series against South Africa on 10 February. It is believed that keeping the injury in mind, Williamson will be rested from the Test series.

Part of Will Young’s squad
The New Zealand Cricket Board had already decided before the series that Williamson would not play after the third T20. The board took this decision to clear his injury. But now Williamson’s injury has come to light, so he wants that it should not be cheap to continue playing in the T-20 series.

Will Young has been included in the T-20 squad in place of Williamson. However, coach Gary Stead said that Tim Seifert will be a part of England-11 in place of Williamsman in the first T20. Seifert will also keep wicket in place of Devon Conway. Constway will play support batter.

Tim Seifert will take part in New Zealand’s third T20 playing-11 in place of Kane Williamson.

Abbas Afridi will not play the third T20
Pakistan’s t-ljol Abbas Afridi has also been out of the third wicket of the Twenty20 series. PCB confirmed that the third match will not be played due to the pacer’s abdominal injury. The 22-year-old flamboyant performer made his T20 debut in this series. He has taken 5 wickets in 2 T20s and got 2 wickets in the second match.

Pakistan’s T-20 series against New Zealand started from January 12, which will start from January 21. The preliminary 2 fixtures have been played, with New Zealand winning.
