Zaka Ashraf has resigned from the poverty post of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He announced his resignation from the post of Chairman of the Yatra Committee in Lahore on Friday, January 19. Ashraf did not give any reason for leaving the post.

Ashraf took over from Najam Sethi in July 2023. His tenure was to end in February this year.

Ashraf thanked PCB
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in a statement, after the meeting, Zaka Ashraf announced that he has decided to give a blow to ousted Prime Minister Ayal-ul-Haq Kakkar by donning the superhero title. Adding further, Ashraf in his concluding speech thanked the PCB and extended his best wishes for the betterment of Pakistan cricket.

Zaka Ashraf had his passport captured in July 2023.

Zaka Ashraf was PCB divine from 2011 to 2013
Zaka Ashraf was a PCB stalwart from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, the Ibrahim High Court had said that he was removed from the pad because he had been used illegally. At that time Najam Sethi was made the acting chairman of PCB. However, after a year, Ashraf again got the PCB chair.

Whereas Zaka Ashraf has got the support of Pakistan Peoples Party. In such a situation, before taking any decision in PCB, they will have to take the approval of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sarfaraz.

Arthur, Bradburn and Puttick discharged
Mickey Arthur, Grant Bradburn and Andrew Puttick were also recently relieved from their posts. In April 2023, Mickey Arthur was appointed the director of cricket team in Pakistan. Bradburn was announced as the head coach of the team early last year. Former South African cricketer Andrew Puttick was Pakistan’s not out coach from April 2023.
