Election for the post of President for the first time after a year.

The post of president of Mohsin Naqvi is almost certain in the elections of Pakistan Cricket Board PCB. Pakistan media says that elections may start next week.

Recently Zaka Ashraf has resigned from his retirement post. After this the chair of the rich in the board is vacant. Ashraf took over from Najam Sethi in July 2023. His tenure was to end in February this year.

Naqvi, 45, is currently the administrative head of Punjab. He has been left out in Ashraf’s name for off-board governors.

Ashraf was the head of the interim committee, got three months’ salary
Zaka Ashraf was the head of the Interim Committee (IMC), from where he was made the president temporarily. Along with Ashraf, it was the responsibility of the IMC members to form the Board of Governors and conduct elections for the post of Chairman in the Board. However, this did not happen so he was given three months’ salary, which was due to be completed the following month. Even before this Ashraf had given leave.

Naqvi is also a part of 10 rating IMC. Apart from Naqvi, the other IMC members are Kaleem Ullah Khan, Ashfaq Akhtar, Mohammad Musadiq Islam, Azmat Pervez, Zaheer Abbas, Khawaja Nadeem, Mustafa Ramde, Zulfikar Aamir and Khurram Karim Somru.

Zaka Ashraf had his passport captured in July 2023.

PCB Election Commissioner Shah Khawar assumed the post of Chairman. He will hold a meeting at the PCB headquarters in Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday in which the PCB prestige program is expected to be clarified. Once the elections are held, the Speaker will be appointed for a three-year term.
