Madhya Pradesh’s rights wrestler Silver Patidar can play the first two Tests of the Test series against England on Sunday. According to news agency ANI, his team will be included in place of Virat Kohli. Kohli will not play the first two tests due to personal issues.

The news agency has reported with the approval of the BCCI board that Silver has been called for the test match on Sunday. The first trial is starting from January 25. If he gets a chance, this will be his first international test for this 30 year old batsman.

Silver was part of India A’s Test series against England A on 12 January. Today he started playing in the second test match against England A, but now he is not a part of the team.

Patidar made his third Florida debut in international cricket on 21 December 2023 against South Africa, where he scored 22 runs from 16 balls with a strike rating of 137.50.

BCCI gave leave to Kohli
BCCI said on Monday that Virat Kohli spoke to captain Rohit Sharma, selectors and team stalwarts and said- ‘It has always been emphasized that the representation of the country should always be at its highest constitutional, the presence of some individual players and the entire Demand attention.

The board said that the selection committee will soon reveal the name of its employee in its team.

Virat Kohli was the top scorer in the Test series against South Africa. He had scored 172 runs in 2 matches.
