World number-1 male tennis player Novak Djokovic of Serbia was out of the Australian Open 2024 on Friday. He was defeated by Italy’s Jannik Sinner in the fourth seed of singles.

In a match that lasted 3 hours 22 minutes, the Italian player defeated champion Djokovic 6-1, 6-2, 6-7, 6-3. With this, Sinner ended Djokovic’s winning streak of 33 consecutive matches in the Australian Open.

This is Djokovic’s 9th defeat in 103 matches in this Grand Slam. He has played 103 Australian Open matches, winning 94 and losing 9. Here his winning percentage is 91%.

Sinner in the final of a Grand Slam for the first time
Whereas Sinner has reached the final of a Grand Slam for the first time. He is the first Italian player to reach the final of the Australian Open. Sinner will face the second-place winner in the finals. The second part will be played between Alexander Zverev of Germany and Daniil Medvedev of Russia.
