Hyderabad Riders batsman Tanmay Agarwal scored the fastest first class triple hundred in 147 innings against Arunachal Pradesh during the Ranji Trophy Round 4 match at the Nexgen Cricket Ground in Hyderabad on Friday.
Agarwal broke the record of South Africa’s Marco Maris when he scored 300 runs in 191 overs against Eastern Province Border in 2017.
He struck 21 coins in an innings, which is a Raniji Trophy record. The previous record for most number of runs in an innings in India’s top domestic tournament was in the name of Ishan Kishan (14).
