The second match of the 2-Test series between West Indies and Australia is being played at the Gabba Stadium in Brisbane. On Thursday, the first day of the day-night test, West Indies scored 266 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. For the team, Kevam Hodge scored 71 runs and Team Joshua Da Silva scored 79 runs.

Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc took 4 wickets. The first day’s play ended with West Indies’ Kevin Sinclair remaining not out on 16 runs. She will lead her team’s first innings on the second day from 9:30 am Indian time today i.e. Friday.

Kavem Hodge and Joshua da Silva took West Indies into control after an early 5-wicket collapse. Both of them crossed the team score of 100 runs and also captured Fifty Raj Bhavan. Da Silva quickly completed his fifty, after him Hodge also completed his fifty.

Da Silva was LBW off the bowling of Nathan Lyon on 79 runs. With the wicket of Da Silva his Hodge led Richmond to 149 runs. After him, Hodge also became the victim of Mitchell Starc after scoring 71 runs.

Alzarri Joseph and Kevin Sinclair took West Indies to a score of 225 runs after losing 7 wickets. Both of them batted in the last over of the first day and took the team’s score beyond 250 runs. Joseph became the victim of Josh Hazlewood in the last over of the day. He scored 32 runs.

The first day’s play ended with West Indies taking 8th wicket. The team scored 266 runs and Sinclair remained not out after scoring 16 runs. Kemar Roach and Shamar Joseph are yet to bat from West Indies. Both will support Sinclair on the second day.

Australia leads 1-0 in the series
For Australia, Starc took 4 wickets and Hazlewood took 2 wickets. One wicket each was also received from Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon. Australia leads the 2-Test series 1-0. The team won the first test by 10 wickets.
