 IHG has signed a franchise agreement with Mogotel
and development partner Revelop, to open a voco hotel in
Stockholm, Sweden.

Expected to open in late 2024, the 201-room voco
Stockholm Kista will have a restaurant and lobby bar, a variety of
meeting and event spaces, a fitness room,
rooftop spa, indoor swimming pool, and a
rooftop garden.

The hotel will
mark the group’s return to the Swedish market.

“This project marks a significant milestone for
us,” said Sabine Krievina, Member of the board, Director of
Project Management at Mogotel Development Holding. “It’s not just
a new venture in Stockholm and Sweden; it’s a new and exciting
chapter in our story, as we start our cooperation with IHG Hotels
& resorts. We’re thrilled about the opportunity to bring the
unique character of the voco brand into this dynamic city and look
forward to making our mark in the heart of Stockholm.”

voco Stockholm Kista will be located in Kista in
the northern region of Stockholm. Dubbed as Sweden’s
Silicon Valley, Kista is home to the largest Information and
Communications Technology (ICT) cluster in Europe.

The hotel will
be situated adjacent to the Nordic Forum, one of Kista’s largest
office redevelopments as well as telecoms company Ericssons Global
Headquarters, making voco Stockholm Kista.

this signing reinforces that we are on our way to reaching the
brand’s global ambition of 200 properties in leading urban and
leisure locations by 2028,” said Willemijn Geels, VP Development,

possible without our real estate partner Revelop as well as
operating partner Mogotel – with whom this is another hotel
signing with in recent months, following the announcement of
Holiday Inn & Suites Budapest Centrale. We look forward to

explore new opportunities in the Nordics.”

voco Stockholm Kista will build on IHG Hotels &
Resorts presence in the Nordics, which includes Crowne Plaza Hotel
Copenhagen Towers in Denmark, as well as a portfolio of seven
hotels in Finland.
