(13/03/24) Vietnam Airlines has unveiled plans to launch
direct flights between both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) and
Munich Airport in Bavaria, Germany.
Scheduled for take off in October 2024, Vietnam
Airlines will operate the Munich flights using Boeing 787-9
aircraft configured with Business Class, Premium Economy and
Economy Class seating.
The airline will operate twice weekly flights from
Hanoi (HAN) on Sundays and Fridays. Flight VN35 is scheduled to
depart from HAN at 23:20, arriving at Munich Airport (MUC) at
06:05, the following day. From Munich, flight VN34 is timed to
depart at 13:35 and arrive in Hanoi at 05:00 the following day.

Initially, Vietnam Airlines will commence service
from Saigon with one flight per week on Mondays, increasing to
twice weekly in December with the additional flight every
Wednesday.
Flight VN33 is timed to leave Saigon (SGN) at
23:50 to arrive in Munich at 06:20 the following day. From Munich,
flight VN32 is scheduled to depart at 12:30, arriving in Saigon at
05:35 the following day.
Munich Airport will become the fourth
European destination in Vietnam Airlines’ route network,
alongside Frankfurt, London-Heathrow and Paris Charles de Gaulle.

connections and reinforce Munich Airport’s position as one of the
leading aviation hubs in Europe,” said Jost Lammers, CEO of Munich
Airport. “We are confident that these new
direct flights will be very well received by our passengers and
help to further enhance economic relations and cultural exchange
between Bavaria and Vietnam.”
