(14/03/24) In 2023, Perth Airport (PER) in Western
Australia handled more than 15 million passengers and is already
looking as if it will surpass that this year, welcoming 1.39 million
passengers in January 2024, annual and monthly records,
respectively.
Stephanie Juszkiewicz
The airport, together with Tourism Western
Australia, will host the Routes Asia 2025 airline route
development and airport services conference from 25-27 March, the
21st edition of the event that changes host country annually.
To learn more about Perth Airport (PER), Steven Howard
of Travel News Asia sat down with Stephanie Juszkiewicz, SVP
Aviation Business Development, at Routes Asia 2024 in Langkawi, Malaysia.
In this interview, filmed on 28 February 2024,
Steven asks about the airport’s
post-COVID recovery, which markets have recovered the fastest,
what challenges the airport faces in attracting more airlines and
where they are concentrating their marketing efforts.
We also discuss airport technology, issues
retaining and recruiting the right quality of staff, what
plans the airport has for expansion and what delegates can expect
when Perth hosts Routes Asia 2025.
All that and much, much more in the interview
below which is available in both HD video and audio podcast
formats.
