Swedish fast fashion brand H&M has opened its 56th store in India to date in Mangalore as it continues to expand its brick-and-mortar presence across the country. Located in Fiza Nexus mall, the store is the brand’s second in the Karnataka city.
“Fashion has a new address,” announced Fiza by Nexus mall on Facebook at the weekend. “H&M’s new store is now open. Welcome to Fiza by Nexus.”
H&M opened its first store in Mangalore on Mangladevi Road. Now counting two stores in the Tier 2 city, it is clear the extent to which the brand has established itself in the Indian market since launching in the country in 2015.
“The growth continues, today it’s in Mangalore,” wrote H&M’s CFO and country controller for India Louis Coucke on Linkedin. “Hello Mangaluru, fashion has a new address! Visit our brand new store at Fiza by Nexus Mall for a stylish shopping spree.”
H&M’s new store launched with it’s autumn men’s and womenswear collection, featuring casual separates and western style party wear. The brand has also launched a range of fusion style festive wear in the Indian market including red and magenta draped jumpsuits and marching sets to cater to the large autumn demand for festive wear.
