Ahmedabad-based menswear brand Barcelona has opened its first brick-and-mortar store in Ratnagiri. The exclusive brand outlet is located in the city’s Chiplun district and adds to the brand’s growing retail presence in Maharashtra. 

“Bringing fashion paradise to an enchanting town,” announced Barcelona on Facebook, sharing images of its new store. “Barcelona opens a brand-new store in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, boasting a curated collection of the latest trends and styles. Come and shop the best menswear collection at shop no.8, Tulsi Kunj Building, Markandi.” 
 
The store houses Barcelona’s selection of men’s western wear with segments for denim, casual wear, and semi-formal wear. Earlier this month, Barcelona opened its first brick-and-mortar store in the Gujarat city of Surendranagar. The store is located inside the city’s Citi Center Complex in Crozwy and retails the brand’s full selection of casual and formal wear. 

Barcelona is currently expanding its brick-and-mortar presence across India, with a focus on non-metro locations. In September, the brand opened its sixth store in the city of Patna and in August, it debuted in Uttar Pradesh’s Hamirpur. Other store openings which took place in the past five months include in Goa, Pune, Visnagar, Mahoba, Kota, and Dapoli among others. 

Entrepreneur Jaimin Gupta launched Barcelona in Ahmedabad in 2015 as a men’s mid-priced western wear label. Barcelona plans to launch an initial public offering in the near future, although a date has yet to be set.
