All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) launches Jewellery Shopping Festival in Delhi

The All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) has launched a Jewellery Shopping Festival in Delhi. The business-to-customer fair will run from October 15 until November 22 during which time the GJC aims to boost business for manufacturers for the important festive season.

IJSF is expecting to generate business worth Rs 1.2 lakh crore through 3,000 retailers participating from over 200 cities,” said the GJC’s director and IJSF’s convenor Dinesh Jain in a press release. “This is a business growth of roughly about 30-35%. The festival is also expected to generate huge employment opportunities in the jewellery industry. Keeping in mind the digital India initiative undertaken by our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, IJSF will be held digitally as well to maintain transparency in the selection procedure of the winners. Four crore NRI’s residing outside will also be able to avail of the benefits of exciting offers and plan their jewellery shopping during IJSF making India a jewellery tourism hub.” 
 
The event’s sponsor is DivineSolitaires and a number of prize opportunities and promotional offers will run throughout the exhibition. Ahead of its launch to the public, Union Minister of roads and highway transport Nitin Gadkari lit a lamp to inaugurate the fair. 

“IJSF is a potential pool for all jewellery traders, and significant interest has been demonstrated by important industry players,” said GJC chairman Saiyam Mehra. “The event is advantageous to both consumers and manufacturers. The chance for the jewellers to grow and boost sales has arrived. Shoppers discover these pieces in the meantime and keep them for important events like weddings and other celebrations. The Gem and Jewellery Council anticipates that the entire value chain will be involved in this event, which guarantees enormous income potential.”
