(29/10/23) Rovaniemi Airport (RVN) is not only the third
busiest airport in Finland, it is also the official airport of
Santa Claus and the main gateway with those wanting to visit Santa
Claus village as well as other parts of Lapland.

Senior Vice President Airport Network at Finavia, during the
Routes World 2023 airport services and airline route development
conference and exhibition in Istanbul, Türkiye earlier this month.
In this interview, filmed on 15 October, Jani
tells us how many airports he looks after, where they are in terms
of post-Covid passenger numbers, targets for 2024, which markets
have recovered the fastest and which have been the most affected.
We also discuss sustainable aviation and Jani
gives us an insight into what the airports have done to become
carbon neutral and how they will progress from that to becoming
net zero.
