    Thai Airways Launches Flights Between Bangkok and Istanbul, Türkiye

         Thai Airways has launched daily flights between
    Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) near Bangkok and Istanbul (IST),
    Türkiye.

    Flight TG900 is scheduled to depart from BKK at
    23:45, arriving in Istanbul at 06:05, the following day.

    From Istanbul, flight TG901 is slated to leave at
    16:30, arriving in Bangkok at 05:35 hours, the following day.

    Visitors from Türkiye and 63 other countries
    can visit Thailand visa-free for 30 days, during which they can
    easily apply for a 30-day extension.

    The Tourism Authority of Thailand has set a target
    of between 25 and 28 million visitor arrivals for 2023, down on
    original forecasts and still considerably lower than the 39.9
    million the Kingdom welcomed in 2019, pre-Covid, but an impressive
    improvement on the 2022 full-year figure of 11,153,026 visitor
    arrivals.

    Between January 2023 and the end of October 2023,
    Thailand had welcomed 16,135,338 visitor arrivals.

    The country’s peak tourism season is normally from
    the beginning of November to the end of April, with the
    traditional rainy or ‘green’ season from May to the end of
    October.
