Hyderabad: Gujarat-based infrastructure group Adani Group is all set to strengthen its presence in Telangana With new commitments of Rs 12,400 crore green energy projects For defence, cement and data centres.
Adani Group signed four Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Telangana government in the presence of Adani Group Founder Chairman Gautam Adani and Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
While Adani Enterprises Limited will invest Rs 5,000 crore in a 100MW data center at Chandanvalley, which will be powered by renewable energy over the next five to seven years and create around 600 direct and indirect jobs, Adani Green Energy Limited will invest Rs. ₹5,000 crore in setting up two pumped storage projects of 850MW and 500MW at Koyabestgudem and Nacharam respectively.
This is also when Adani Defense Systems & Technologies Ltd will invest Rs 1,000 crore over the next 10 years to set up a comprehensive ecosystem for research, development, design, manufacturing and integration of counter drone and missile systems at the Adani Aerospace Park . Ambuja Cements, another Adani Group company, will invest Rs 1,400 crore in setting up a 6 million tonne per annum cement plant spread over 70 acres in Telangana. Adani Group said the project will significantly enhance the capabilities of Ambuja Cements and create approximately 4,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Speaking on the occasion, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said that the Adani Group will continue to grow at a rapid pace in Telangana.
Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, Telangana Principal Secretary of IT and Industries Jayesh Ranjan and Telangana Investment Promotion Special Secretary Vishnu Vardhan Reddy were also present at the signing of the MoU.
