Bengaluru-based Dynamic will make all doors for the Airbus A220; Largest aviation export contract for an Indian company
New Delhi: Based in Bengaluru dynamite Technologies will create all the doors for this airbus A220 is a big boost to the “Make in India” programme. Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia says it is “one of the largest export contracts for an Indian aerospace manufacturing company.” While Airbus India is leading Remy While Maillard did not disclose the size of the order, he said it puts the aerospace major on track to soon double its exports from India to $1.5 billion from the current annual $750 million.

It is a proud moment for all as Airbus and Dynamic Technologies have joined hands to manufacture all door variants on the next generation Airbus A220 family aircraft in India. This is one of the largest export contracts for an Indian aerospace manufacturing company… This will go a long way in bringing end-to-end aircraft door manufacturing technology to the Indian aerospace ecosystem.
Maillard said: “Airbus continues to talk about ‘Make in India’. This contract with our trusted partner Dynamic is a significant change in aerospace manufacturing in India as this work package will involve complex systems integration that will bring new capabilities to the Indian ecosystem. Airbus will continue to act as a special catalyst to holistically develop the Indian aerospace ecosystem, from manufacturing and assembly to design and development as well as maintenance and skills.
Certainly, leading Indian companies like HAL and Tata have been assembling aircraft components like doors for years. Last year, Airbus awarded the contract to manufacture bulk and cargo doors for the A320 family to Tata Advanced Systems Ltd.
The latest contract will support the ramp-up of the A220 program by creating additional capacity in the currently existing source. Under the agreement, Dynamic will manufacture and assemble over-wing emergency exit doors as well as cargo, passenger and service doors for the A220 family aircraft (eight doors per aircraft).
Dynamic already manufactures the flap track beams of the Airbus A330 and A320 family aircraft as well as the cockpit escape hatch doors of the A220. Airbus is building two final assembly lines – one in Vadodara for the C295 military aircraft and the other for the H125 helicopter. Every Airbus commercial aircraft has components and technologies made in India.
