Routes Americas 2024, hosted by El Dorado
International Airport with support from ProColombia, took place
last week in the city of Bogota.
The event, which is held in a different location

authorities to drive air service development across the Americas.
Routes Americas 2025 will take place from 10-12
February 2025 in Nassau and Paradise Island, Bahamas.

“Routes
Americas is the region’s leading route development forum,
connecting aviation decision makers from across the Americas,”
said Steven Small, Director of Routes. “By
uniting this community, Nassau and Paradise Island will be able to
showcase its market potential and display its many impressive
attractions to the very people who will drive future travel and
tourism to the destination. We look forward to working with the
team over the next year to deliver what we are certain will be a
very highly awaited and successful event.”
Located in Nassau, Lynden Pindling Airport (NAS) is the main international gateway to Bahamas
and the
first airport outside of the U.S. to implement TSA PreCheck as
well as
one of the few select airports offering U.S. Customs and
Immigration Preclearance, along with U.S. Global Entry.
With
nonstop flights from 24 destinations, including most major U.S.
cities as well as destinations in Europe and Central America, and
many connecting services through major international hubs, Nassau
Paradise Island attracts travellers from around the world
annually.
Bahamas welcomed a record 9,654,838 international
visitor arrivals in 2023, a 38% increase on 2022 and a 33%
increase compared to the previous 2019 record, pre-Covid.
“We are thrilled to be hosting Routes
Americas in 2025, as we bring together industry professionals for
a few days of unmissable programming in our breathtaking
destination to learn how we can better unite regions around the
world through air service development,” said Joy Jibrilu, CEO of
Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board. “Nassau and Paradise Island
continue to grow, and with our airport arrivals already breaking
records this year, we are excited to welcome some of the top
decision-makers in the industry to our shores. In addition to
networking and meeting opportunities, attendees will experience
the beauty of The Bahamas and all that the destination has to
offer.”
