Brand Concepts Limited’s multi-brand travel and lifestyle retailer Bagline has expanded its brick-and-mortar presence into Eastern India and opened a new store in Kolkata in the city’s City Centre Salt Lake mall.
“Expanding Bagline’s presence in Eastern India is a significant milestone for us,” said Brand Concepts Limited’s whole-time director and chief executive officer Abhinav Kumar in a press release on October 5. “Kolkata, with its diverse and discerning customer base, represents an exciting opportunity for Bagline to offer premium travel gears and lifestyle accessories such as the latest collections from Tommy Hilfiger and United Colors of Benetton. We are thrilled to be here and are committed to providing the people of Kolkata with the same level of excellence and craftsmanship that Bagline is renowned for.”
The new store is located on the ground floor of City Centre Salt Lake mall and its product categories include luggage, handbags, wallets, and fashion accessories. Bagline specialises in international travel and accessories brands and its Kolkata store houses labels including Tommy Hilfiger Travel Gear, United Colors of Benetton, The Vertical, and Sugarush among others.
Bagline falls under the Brand Concepts Limited umbrella, a business which focuses on licensed fashion and lifestyle brands in the travel category. The business counts over 28 stores in 19 Indian cities and plans to continue to expand its brick-and-mortar presence pan-India. Opening in Kolkata marks a, “significant stride” for the business due to its strategic location and discerning shopper base, according to Bagline.
