 Centara, one of Thailand’s leading
hotel operators, has appointed Michael Henssler as Chief Operating
Officer.

A hotel industry expert with almost 30 years of
experience, Michael has held senior leadership positions in
Europe, the Middle East and China.

Most of his career to date has been spent with Kempinski,
where he has worked as President
– China and Managing Director of Key International Hotel
Management, the Chinese joint venture.

Prior to joining Centara, Michael worked most recently as Kempinski’s Chief Operating Officer
for Asia.

distinct hotel brands, all of which have significant potential for
growth,” said Michael. “Coming from a large family, I deeply admire Centara’s

As Chief Operating Officer of Centara, Michael
will oversee the company’s commercial, operations, and development
divisions.

Working alongside the senior executive team, he will help Centara to double
its total portfolio, achieve its five-year goal of becoming a
top 100 global hotel operator by 2027, and expand the company’s
presence in new sectors such as branded residences and
wellness retreats.

Michael is a graduate of the prestigious École Hôtelière
de Lausanne in Switzerland.
