Where can you buy Bharat Rice?
Initially, Bharat Rice will be available for procurement through central stores, NAFED and NCCF outlets including mobile vans. Union Minister Piyush Goyal launches 100 mobile vans to make ‘Bharat’ rice more accessible to consumers. Subsequently, it will also be made available through various retail chains including e-commerce Platform, in the near future.

Along with Bharat rice, the government is also offering other subsidized goods. Last November, it introduced subsidized wheat called “Bharat Atta”, which is available through cooperatives such as NAFED, NCCF and Kendriya Bhandar. The initiative utilizes 800 mobile vans and over 2,000 outlets across the country. Additionally, Bharat Dal at Rs 60 per kg and Onion at Rs 25 per kg are provided through these cooperative channels, thereby providing further relief to consumers.
Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY)
Under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY), a wide range of people including farmers, general consumers and more than 80 crore beneficiaries through the Targeted Public Distribution System (PDS), as well as school children and vulnerable groups are covered. Hostel, get support.
