As per RBI press release dated February 9, 2024, and as per Government of India notification and Reserve Bank press release dated December 8, 2023, the Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2023-24 – Series IV opened for subscription from February 12. And will remain open till February 16, 2024. The nominal value of the bond is determined by the average gold price over the last three working days before the subscription period (February 7 to February 9, 2024), is Rs 6,263 per gram. Collaboratively, the government and the Reserve Bank offer a discount of Rs 50 per gram for online investors paying digitally, bringing the issue price down to Rs 6,213 per gram.
